Motivation Assessment

This assessment is designed to identify the aspects of generosity that have the greatest influence on your giving.

Instructions

This assessment consists of 15 questions and lasts about 5 minutes. For each question, you will see 2 statements describing reasons to give.

For each pairing, decide which set of factors is more energizing in leading you to give. If both statements describe strong motivating factors, select the stronger of the two.

The statements may show up multiple times.

Option 1

I give because generosity itself brings joy, peace, and a deep sense of fulfillment. Giving feels life-giving to me, regardless of recognition or results.

My giving stems from a desire to collaborate, partner, and share a mission with others. I give to strengthen relationships and pursue generosity together.

I give as an act of trust in God, taking faithful steps that deepen my reliance on Him. Generosity is one way I grow closer to God, even when it requires sacrifice.

My heart is deeply moved by the suffering or needs of others, and I give out of empathy and a desire to respond to pain or injustice.

I am driven to see meaningful, measurable change through my giving. I want my contribution to produce clear, tangible, and lasting results.

I am motivated by using tools and strategies that maximize availability of resources for Kingdom work. I focus on leverage and structures that help generosity flow more freely.
